PRESS RELEASE 12.9.2011 at 8:30 am

Copterline increases flights to Tallinn in spite of the storm

Copterline increases flights between Helsinki and Tallinn in spite of the stormy weather forecast for Friday. The storm does not affect flying the helicopter. From tomorrow Copterlinewill  fly seven return flights Monday to Friday from 7:30 am, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. Travel time from the center of Tallin to downtown Helsinki is 18 minutes.

- We will increase flight frequencies, because of stormy weather there has been an increased in demand for the helicopter route between Helsinki and Tallinn. Even in strong winds the Copterline helicopter flies smoothly over the Gulf of Finland, seven times each weekday, says Copterline CEO Kari Ljungberg - the number of Estonian passengers, especially, been rising rapidly.

The wind is forecasted to rise by more than 20 knots at sea areas, gusting up to more than 25 meters per second. Depending on wind direction Copterline could be five minutes late because of a wind in Tallinn, but when coming back to Helsinki the travel time is shortened with the wind at its best  to 14 minutes. Quick Ships are expected to remain in port due to the storm.

Copterline began flights to Tallinn on a stormy autumn day.
A quick helicopter-operated route opened between Talinn and Helsinki amidst the first real fall storm of 2011.
In the windy and choppy weather conditions, many of the quick-line ferries remained in Helsinki and customers who had cancelled tickets turned
to Copterline in order to reach Tallinn. The service was especially appreciated by business travelers with deadlines and meetings
to catch.

"The helicopter is designed to fly in all weather conditions. When ship -connections between the two cities are cancelled we can offer a reliable service.
Bad weather will only bother passengers on the one-minute walk from the terminal to the helicopter, " said Copterline CEO Kari Ljungberg. "Flying safely in adverse weather
conditions is not a problem for the helicopter."
"On the other hand we did encounter difficulties with our new ticketing and reservations system at www.fast-class.com. Many of the reservations did not come through and the national directory services could not find our contact info, so it took
a little bit of detective work from our customers to find us in the beginning, which we apologise for," says Mr. Ljungberg.

The new helicopter -connection has been planned with business passengers in mind, for whom travel time and reliable schedules including in inclement  weather
conditions are very important. Over 6 million passengers travel the route yearly, and Copterline anticipates serving 30, 000 of them.

"A fast connection between Finland and Estonia is vital to both countries in order to maintaing and grow business relations" said Ljungberg. "In a recession, productivity
and efficient use of time is especially important. When travelling the route by helicopter, a passenger can save up to 5 hours of travel time."

Travel time via helicopter is only 18 minutes from city to city. The new terminals are quick and efficient and no queueing is needed.Passengers may arrive
at the security check-point 10 minutes prior to their flight. Parking is located right next to the terminal and the staff will order a taxi for passengers
that will be waiting for them upon arrival.

FAST CLASS by Copterline makes five roundtrips a day  between Helsinki and Tallinn
